ELITE PLAYERS TOUR 2010

Founded in 2002, the Elite Players Tour's mission has remained the same, "offer quality competition on premium courses at affordable rates" to skilled male and female junior golfers in the Mid Atlantic Region. We are a members only junior golf tour that has quickly developed a reputation as one of the premier junior golf tours in the country.

The 2009 Membership Fee is $149.00. Membership includes participation in tournaments; quality awards for first, second, and third place finishes; nice give-aways; and participation in the educational scholarship program if eligible.

The summer program typically consists of ten or more one-day tournaments which offer play against large and talented fields in all divisions. Our host courses include Bulle Rock, Cofton Country Club, Talbot Country Club, Timbers of Troy, Greystone, and other premium courses in the region. The EPT staff works hard insuring our courses are high quality and affordable.

One of the benefits of membership is that the EPT is in frequent contact with college golf coaches in the region regarding our members and their skills. It is not unusaul for college coaches to contact us about recruits and who we have that fits their needs. Ex-members have played or play for Wake Forest, University of Maryland, United States Naval Academy, Loyola, Towson University, James Madison University, University of Tampa, William & Mary, Tulane, McDaniel College, Trinity, Mount St Mary's, High Point, and many more.

Members twelve years of age and older play 18 hole events, and all others play 9 hole events. In 2009 we plan on offering select younger players the option of playing 18 holes. Contact the tour office with any questions.

ADDITIONAL TOUR INFO

The end of year events typically revolve around fundraising for the Elite Players Tour Scholarship Fund. The tour has given aways ten of thousands of dollars to outstanding scholar athletes who are tour members. The EPT is now the largest donor of financial aid to the junior golf community in the region.

In addition, the Elite Players Tour typically offers off-season events that are discounted for members and include two-day events and potential match play tournaments. Members typically pay a reduced fee for these off-season events that are open to non-members. We try our best to position these two-day events to college coaches as "showcase" type events where they can come and watch our best golfers compete.

All players must adhere to the Tour Policies and Rules. Each member will be invited to participate in six events. The top six event results for each member will be used to determine Player of the Year Awards. The cost of each regular event for 2009 is between $50 and $65. Each event may or may not offer a complimentary snack or free use of the driving range.

In summary, membership in The Elite Players Tour provides skilled junior golfers an opportunity to participate in one of the premier junior golf tours in the country. Events are structured and well managed. The organizational focus is on providing members with a strong value proposition regardless of whether the member wins or finishes at the bottom of their field. Emphasis is placed on positive reinforcement and support.
