Golf Course Description
The golf course at La Rinconada is set among rolling hills with narrow, tree-lined fairways. A shotmaker’s course, the greens are small and undulating and protected by many bunkers. Tees and greens are placed close together making the course a joy to walk.

The La Rinconada course was designed by William Jefferson, a protégé of Tom Morris, the nephew of the famous British Open champion of the same name. Jefferson was also influenced by Thomas Bendelow, the designer of the course at Medinah Country Club. It is a truly classic design.

Course Specifics
A par 70 for the men, the course plays 6,134 yards with ratings of 70.4, 69.5 and 67.5 and a slope of 132, 131 and 125, respectively. For our lady players, par is 72 and the course plays 5,545 yards with ratings of 71.6 and 68.9 and a slope of 125 and 121, respectively.
Practice Facilities
The superb practice area at La Rinconada is among the best in the Bay Area. The 300-yard long driving range is serviced by an all-grass teeing area. Six green/bunker complexes provide realistic targets.

The separate short game practice area has a large green with uphill and downhill bunkers, extensive chipping and pitching areas around the green, and an elevated tee for wedge practice.

A large practice putting green with 12 holes is located between the 5th green and 6th tee. It provides ample opportunity to practice the wide variety of putts you’ll encounter on the course.
