PLEASE NOTE: Many times the subject of how to save tables at a Yacht club party comes up. It is certainly understandable that you want to sit with your friends and family. The best way to do this is to get a place card when you arrive at the club for the event. Write your name and number of people that will be sitting at your table and place in on the table. Watch for your party to arrive and advise them of the table arrangements. If they don’t arrive or are sitting somewhere else please change the card right away. It is also ok to leave personal items on the chair or table to save it. Please do NOT tip chairs as it is a hazard to those walking by the tables. Thanks for your cooperation. Mike

PAW PAW LAKE YACHT CLUB
NEWSLETTER JULY/AUGUST 2008
First a message from Rick Rasmussen on the PPLYC History Project: To help folks write their 1to 2 page double spaced family history, think of the letter W as a format. Who are you? Where did you come from? Where did you live on Paw Paw Lake. Why did you come to PPL. When did you come to the lake. What connection to the lake or people brought you here?
Just remember every family and member has a story to tell in regards to the lake and the yacht club from new folks to 100 year plus families. Any questions, call me at 468-9337, see me at the club, or e-mail me at Rick@swmichiganstore.com . If you happen to be here Tuesday July 15th, come to the North
Berrien Historical Society in Coloma at 7:00. The PPL Association, the PPL Foundation and I are putting on a program of then and now PPL.I didn’t get the Barb Mileski golf outing results in the last letter so thanks to Bill and Peg White, about $500.00 was contributed to the Coloma schools’ athletic department – Barb would be thrilled I’m sure. Thanks to Roger Smith and committee for a great western party. Thanks Janie Staggers, Nancy Grane, the McKays, Don Flood, Rick Rasmussen, Julie Sherrin my family; Sal, Dione, Kelsey, Cameron, and Danielle Faul, Abby Newsome, Jovans for the wonderful Mac and Cheese and everyone who pitched in at the great 4th of July pig roast. The winners of the Bean Bag Contest were Dan and Scott Faul.

Food is from 12:00 to 2:00 (best hamburgers and hotdogs in town) Remote races at 1:00 followed by pontoons. Sailboats race about 2:30. Great prizes – join us!!Can’t tell you what will go on at the Sheerin/Jovan party this weekend. You can never tell with them.
